Apple patent application points to iPhone-powered laptop

It's not an inherently bad idea, but I still think it's flawed in the design. I think having a separate dock that connects might be a better starting concept, to prove the connectivity could work in the first place. I don't like the idea of a laptop shell relying on a smart phone. I think the iPhone first thinking is what is illogical about Apple these days. They could simply put the chips necessary to give the laptop cellphone operations and wallah. Plus, what is the laptop going to run on IOS?
